Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy takes the famous stealth-action series and turns it into beautiful 2.5D side-scrolling adventures set in ancient China, colonial India, and revolutionary Russia. Become legendary assassins Shao Jun, Arbaaz Mir, and Nikolai Orelov as you learn how to do precise parkour, sneak into places in the shadows, and fight deadly battles in stunning brush-painting graphics. This small but interesting collection has short epics that are perfect for high-end PCs that want smooth 60 FPS precision or Winlator users who want to turn their Android devices into portable Assassin hideouts, allowing them to master stealth on the go.

Story Plot

The three stories in the trilogy are all connected and are about revenge, redemption, and Templar intrigue. In Chronicles: China, which takes place in 1526 during the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Shao Jun comes back from training with Ezio Auditore da Firenze to take down the Eight Tigers, a ruthless Templar group that killed her Brotherhood. She kills important people like Gao Feng and Zhang Yong because she feels betrayed and lost. She also finds a mysterious Precursor box artifact and rebuilds the Chinese Assassins while avoiding imperial traps and making uneasy alliances.

In Chronicles: India, Arbaaz Mir works to get the Koh-i-Noor diamond, a Piece of Eden, back from Master Templar William Sleeman during the 1841 Sikh Empire’s conflict with the East India Company. To save his mentor Hamid and keep his lover Pyara Kaur safe, Arbaaz sneaks into rich palaces and temples, stops Templar plans, and gives the diamond to Ethan Frye, only to lose the Precursor box in a dramatic fight. Chronicles: Russia follows Nikolai Orelov through the chaos of the Bolshevik Revolution in 1918. He steals a Precursor box from the Romanovs, sees their execution, and protects survivor Anastasia—who inherits Shao Jun’s memories—from Templar experiments, ending with a desperate escape and artifact sacrifice.

Gameplay

The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy is new because it uses 2.5D side-scrolling mechanics to combine stealth, platforming, and combat in levels that are linear but very detailed, like living ink paintings. For parkour, players hang on to colorful walls that they can climb, hide in moving shadows to avoid conical vision cones, and use things like whistles or disguises to distract enemies and take them out quietly. Shao Jun uses firecrackers and sword combos, Arbaaz uses chakrams and smoke bombs, and Nikolai uses a rifle and grapnel launcher. In combat, you have to time your counters, executions, and brace mechanics to stay alive during alerts.

You can get upgrades by collecting shards and chests. These upgrades improve abilities like double kills or bullet time. The game has a scoring system that rewards you for getting zero detections, completing optional objectives, and syncing kills for higher grades and replay value. Stealth focuses on puzzles that require patience and the environment, like tilting the camera to change the perspective to find hidden paths. Action picks up in chase scenes and boss fights, making sure that the pacing is different in different places, from foggy Chinese pagodas to snowy Russian trains.

Playing Experience

Playing Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy brings back the thrill of masterful infiltration in a beautiful way. Every leap in the shadows and precise blade strike feels powerful on PC’s clear screens or Winlator’s responsive Android controls. The trilogy’s short levels (30 to 45 minutes) are addicting and require perfection. The changing art styles pull you into historical turmoil—dangerous Indian bazaars and tense Russian blizzards make you feel like you’re in the middle of a battle. You can achieve victories in perfect runs and portable sessions that turn downtime into deadly art.
