Oaken

Oaken places its tactical fights among the branches of a mythical Great Oak. The spirits that live there have lost the voice known as the Oak Song, and the campaign follows the resulting struggle. It is a Windows roguelite strategy game; Android compatibility through Winlator is unverified.

Storyline

The missing Oak Song threatens a world whose inhabitants once shared it. Each expedition moves through part of that crisis, with choices that can help restore the tree or leave it more vulnerable.

Gameplay

Battles take place on small hexagonal maps, where position and facing affect a unit’s options. You build a deck around a hero, add companions, and choose upgrades as a run develops. A strong card still needs the right square and timing to matter. The campaign’s changing routes encourage a different plan on the next attempt.
