Paper Beast

Paper Beast is an exploration game set in an ecosystem that formed inside the depths of the internet. Its animals behave like living parts of a dream, making observation as useful as direct action. The Windows game can be tested with Winlator, though this release has no verified Android result.

Storyline

The player arrives as the first human visitor to a world whose balance is under pressure. Following its creatures provides a way to understand what is changing without relying on long explanations.

Gameplay

Creatures respond to terrain, weather, and one another. Helping or redirecting them can open a route that cannot be crossed by force. Many puzzles are environmental: study a behavior, change a condition, and watch the world respond. The unusual physics and visual design are part of the challenge, especially when a solution depends on seeing an animal as more than scenery.
