Passpartout: The Starving Artist

Passpartout: The Starving Artist puts you in a French artist’s shoes, painting pictures and trying to sell enough of them to keep working. The game leaves room for ugly experiments as well as careful art. The PC version is the known release; Winlator compatibility on Android remains unverified.

Gameplay

Create a painting with the available tools, put it up for sale, and watch visitors react. Money pays the bills and can open new opportunities, but a profitable style may not be the one you want to keep making. That tension between expression and survival is the joke at the center of the game. Short sessions work well because every canvas can be its own small decision.
